Bi-Polar Bear *Short Story*

( I'm thinking that this would be a little kid's book)

There once was a polar bear named Steve.  Steve loved to chase butterflies.  Some days, Steve would chase butterflies for hours without stopping.  Other days, Steve would just cry about how bad he was at chasing butterflies.  One day at school, a new polar bear came, his name was Carl.  Carl also liked to chase butterflies.  So Carl became friends with Steve.  Carl started to notice Steve's highs and lows.  So Carl wanted to help Steve.  Carl started an AWESOME list for Steve.  So whenever Steve got sad, Steve could look at the list.  When Steve was happy, he would add on to the list.  That helped Steve deal with his emotions.  Steve and Carl became life-long friends.

Just A Normal Day At Home *Short Story*

I sit on the counter top of my home.  The giant who comes an daily trips has arrived, looking very ugly.  A bathrobe messily hangs from the giants body.  The giant grabs a mug off of a nearby shelf.  The giant yawns and then suddenly comes alive, thank goodness to this "coffee" concept.  Then the fridge is opened and the giant removes an egg.  The giant grabs me and twists me hard, it's egg time.  The poor egg gets cracked onto a pan that is laying on the dangerous zone.  Apparently the pan is immune to the hotness. I hope the egg dies happily.

This story was from the point of view of an egg timer. I wrote this story as a writing exercise during my writing club.

New Stuff

I will now, not only write book reviews for this blog.  I will also be writing short stories of my own.

Princess Academy The Forgotten Sisters by Shannon Hale

This is the third book in the Princess Academy trilogy.  Miri is sent to teach the three royal cousins how to be princesses.  Astrid, Felissa, and Sus have lived their whole life in a swamp and don't want to learn poise or reading.  Enjoy this captivating tale about a tutor that is very new to teaching and three girls that might be much more then you expected.
