The Fourteenth Goldfish by Jennifer L. Holm

One day, Ellie's mom came home from work.  She was yelling at what looked like a thirteen year old boy with long hair to come inside. That teenage boy ended up to be her grandfather.  Ellie's grandfather figured out how to be young again.  This book is awesome because it shows Ellie that anything is possible if you just set your mind to it.  It's also a little strange because her grandfather wants to do everything he used to do as an adult, like drive, and drink wine!  If you like fantastic fiction tales this is the book for you!

The Christmas Genie by Dan Gutman

The Christmas Genie is about the last day of school before Winter break.  A meteorite crashes into a classroom and out pops a genie named Bob.  Bob will only grant their class one wish and he will give them an hour to decide what their wish will be.  Everyone in the class writes down what their wish is.  Then their teacher puts all the wishes in a bowl.  She reads each wish aloud then the class has to decide what will be their final request.  People who love humor would really enjoy this book.

A-Z Reading Challenge

At my school's library, we had an A-Z reading challenge.  We had to read some books and they all had to start with a different letter of the alphabet.  It was very hard to find X books, Y books, and W books.  Those ended up to be X-men,Year Down Yonder, and Wonder.  One of the hardest parts was the list had to have 10 different genres and 15 awards to get a gold award. Gold was the hardest, so of course I wanted to get gold.  I just  finished the challenge about a week ago.  I was the 9th person to finish the challenge at my school! Though I had fun, I really like reading books that I ACTUALLY WANT TO READ! Have a great Winter.
